MST-R

Motus: It’s on!

mst01_gallery_feature_02

Motus Motorcycles, a new company, making motorcycles with a proprietary 1650cc V-4 engine, says that at least 8 dealerships will receive the two Motus models in the summer or fall of this year.

The MST model is the sport-touring version shown above. It will boast 165 HP, Öhlins front suspension, and Givi hard bags. The MST-R is the sportier, 185hp roadster version, sans bags, full Öhlins suspension, and other performance goodies. List price for the MST starts at $30,975, and $36,975 for the MST-R.

A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, I guess.

Motus American Sport Tour - First Leg

Motus American Motorcycles is taking their new V-4  MST-01 (and maybe the MST-R?) bikes on the road starting July 11th.  Starting out from Birmingham, AL, they’l ride out to LA and ‘Frisco, then back through Denver and Athens, GA. While they’re in California, they’ll hit Laguna Seca for a little track fun.

Paul Crowe at The Kneeslider has more.

Speaking of naked bikes…

The major manufacturers aren’t the only ones bringing a naked bike to the US market. US startup Motus Motorcycles has not only unveiled the new MST-01 sport-tourer, but they’ve also got a naked version of the bike, dubbed the MST-R, naturally.

It’s the exact same bike, it just doesn’t have all the smooth plastic bits. Frankly, it looks kind of…mean.
